Looking for some creative summer fun for youth 8 to 12 years old? Look no further than the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21’s Build It! Program. Youth will get together, get creative and use their imagination to build a model of their own dream home. Inspired by Migrating Landscapes, the temporary exhibition at the Museum, Build It! encourages youth to think about the themes of immigration and architecture in Canada in a fun, hands-on way.

The day will also include group activities, a visit to the Migrating Landscapes exhibition and a presentation from guest speaker Vincent Van Den Brink, Architect and Partner at Breakhouse in Halifax. The workshop is free and lunch is provided. All program facilitators have completed Criminal Record Checks. Build It! is presented in English.

Space is limited. To register, please contact Matthew Ritchie, Youth Public Programs Coordinator by August 14 at mritchie@pier21.ca with the following information: parent/guardian name, email, phone number and participant name.

Organizer:Matthew Ritchie, mritchie@pier21.ca
