CCPA-NS to release a new report: Cornerstone Compromised: A Critical Analysis of Changes to Special Needs Assistance in Nova Scotia. This report is the result of work by Sara Wuite (Master's Student at Simon Fraser University) who did interviews and held a community forum on this very important issue regarding Employment Support and Income Assistance in Nova Scotia.

Almost two years ago, the Department of Community Services changed the laws that support people who require additional assistance with health or disability needs. This report examines the impact of the changes and makes recommendations. You are invited to join us for the launch, which will include a panel presention on the findings and the chance to hear about the experience of those directly affected by the changes. All are welcome to attend.
