 The Canadian Civil Liberties Association has and continues to be a strong advocate for human rights and social justice in Canada.Through education, litigation, and public engagement, the organization fights to ensure that the civil liberties of Canadians are protected.On this Friday at 12:00 PM in Room 104 of the Weldon Law Building, SALSA will host a public talk and discussion with the Nathalie Des Rosiers, the leader of the CCLA.Nathalie Des Rosiers took on the role of General Counsel for the CCLA in 2009 and is playing a key role in revitalizing and broadening the reach of the organization. She is aiming to creating a CCLA Chapter in Halifax to ensure that the organization has eyes and ears in the Maritimes.Some of Nathalie’s numerous achievements include her position of Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa (Civil Law), and being named one of Canada’s 25 most influential lawyers in 2012 by the Canadian Lawyers Magazine.
