Openness, Accountability, Secrecy and Citizen Engagement

HRM Mayoralty Candidates Debate

7:00pm
- 9:00pm
Mardi Octobre 2 2012

Venue: McInnes Room – Dalhousie Student Union Building (2nd Floor)
Address: 6136 University Avenue
Cost: Free

The Right to Know Coalition of Nova Scotia, The Coast, and the Metro Student Community Coalition invite you to join us on October 2nd from 7-9 pm at the Dalhousie Student Union Building to hear our mayoralty candidates’ views on openness, accountability, and citizen engagement within our municipal government. Join our panel of journalists as they probe candidates on their vision for the next HRM administration.

Openness and accountability are the pillars of good government. Without them, we don’t know if our interests are represented leaving only insiders to chart the course for our municipality. Come out and demonstrate Haligonians want open government.

Moderator: Fred Vallance-Jones (Journalism Faculty – University of King’s College)

Panelists: Tim Bousquet (The Coast), Ruth Davenport (Metro – Halifax), Natascia Lypny (Halifax Media Co-op)
