JAMAICA 50 Halifax in partnership with the Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia presents:

JAMAICAN CONNECTIONS "A cultural night sharing history. Acknowledging the contributions of Jamicans to our City and Province."

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

DR. AFUA COOPER: Scholar, Author and Poet. James R. Johnston Chair in Black Canadian Studies at Dalhousie University

DR. BURNLEY "ROCKY" JONES: Lawyer and Human Rights Activist

Performance by SHAUNTAY GRANT: Nova Scotian Writer, Spoken Word Performer, Broadcast Journalist and Muscian. Third Poet Laureate of Halifax (2009-2011)
