After her presentation at the University of King's College in Halifax this week, I sat down with pioneering Abenaki filmmaker Alanis Obomsawin for a chat about changes in Canada's political landscape, Indigenous resistance, and the Indigenous filmmaking industry since the release of her seminal work, Kanehsatake: 270 Years of Resistance.
