Subject: Why not a NS Trade Mission to Gaza? Join in event tomorrow

On June 15th, representatives of government and industry from Nova Scotia and Israel will be holding a workshop at the World Trade and Convention Centre, from 9-12 noon. This workshop is in preparation for a government-endorsed trade mission to Israel that is slated to take place this October.

Some of you may know that I am going to be aboard the Canadian Boat to Gaza. I decided that I could better represent the sustainable, traditional, economy of Nova Scotia, and its desire to do trade with Gaza, than could this government-sanctioned event. I have obtained gifts of token trade goods from numerous sectors of the local economy, which symbolize the desire of Nova Scotia small businesspeople to do unimpeded trade with Gaza. They are also gestures of solidarity from the local business community.

Please join me tomorrow at 12 noon, outside the main doors of the World Trade and Convention Centre, 1800 Argyle St., as I will present the token trade goods from the brave merchants that represent the first of many NS-Gaza trade missions.
