» More information

Welcome everyone,
The Sisters in Spirit Vigil is a day where we come together to honor the lives of the missing and murdered indigenous women & girls across turtle island. There are 1, 181 missing and murdered indigenous women and of that 161 are missing and 1,020 are murdered. These numbers have increased and we must continue to raise awareness. NO MORE STOLEN SISTERS.
On Sunday October 4th, 2015 we will meet at the Parade Square at 1:00 pm where we will do an opening prayer by Dorene Bernard. Then walk to the Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre on 2158 Gottingen Street. Bring your hand drums !! . Once at the friendship centre there will be welcoming, a moment of silence, drumming by Peggie Wentzell, guest speakers, we invite families of MMIW to speak if they wish or to have someone speak on their behalf, some entertainment then a feast. We will end with a closing prayer. We welcome everyone to join us to honor the lives of each of our sisters.
