Forum on Misogyny - Dalhousie Student Union

Dalhousie Student Union and Gender and Women's Studies Program hold forum on misogyny

HALIFAX– In light of the recent incidents of sexism and misogyny within the Faculty of Dentistry, the Dalhousie Gender and Women's Studies Program and the Dalhousie Student Union are holding encouraging students, faculty, staff and the wider community to a forum on misogyny this week. 
 
The forum will discuss the broader significance of the recent incidents of sexism and misogyny within the Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry and focus on harnessing momentum for transformation in the Dalhousie campus community.

Speakers at the forum will include: Jude Ashburn (South House), Chike Jeffers (Philosophy), Jane Gavin-Hebert (Avalon), Jacqueline Warwick (GWST), Jacquie Gahagan (GWST, Health Sciences), Letitia Meynell (GWST, Philosophy), Brian Noble (Sociology & Social Anthropology), Jacqueline Skiptunis (DSU), Afua Cooper (Sociology & Social Anthropology, GWST), Marjorie Stone (GWST, English), Judy Haiven (SMU), Marnina Gonick (MSVU), and Sara Swasson (Native Counselling Unit).
