The Campaign Working Group on Environmental Racism is an outcome of break-out session discussions that took place during the event “In Whose Backyard? Organizing Against Environmental Racism in Nova Scotia”, which was held on October 7 in the McInnis Room at Dalhousie. 

Break-out session discussions focused on how the following three issues can support Mi'kmaw and African Nova Scotian communities affected by environmental racism: 1) Community Organizing; 2) Policy and Law; and 3) Education, Media and Art.

The Campaign Working Group is currently reviewing ideas and suggestions from the break-out sessions to identify next steps for mobilizing students and other community members on environmental racism in Mi'kmaw and African Nova Scotian communities.

New folks are welcome to attend Campaign Working Group meetings and to participate in future initiatives carried out b the Working Group.

Directions: Enter the front doors of the Faculty of Dentistry Building at the corner of Robie and University, turn right and take the elevator up to the 3rd floor
