People's Climate March Halifax

1:00pm
- 3:00pm
Sunday September 21 2014

Fully embodying the Green Heart theme (in hearts!!) and everyone carrying NOISE makers, we leave at 1pm from the corner of Queen and Sackville (south face of Citadel Hill) on SUNDAY, September 21st. From there, we walk south along Queen Street, east along Spring Garden Road, south along Barrington, east along Morris, and north along Hollis to arrive at the Provincial Legislature (1726 Hollis Street) where we will make noise, maybe make speeches and deliver a letter to our provincial leaders. Join the march at any point -- a march that begins small and gathers momentum is hugely powerful! Turn up yourselves and (so important) make sure ANYONE WHO CARES turns up too!!! Reason for September 21, 2014 March: It's just days before a landmark UN climate summit takes place in New York. If world leaders don’t think we care enough about climate change, on September 21 we have a chance to prove them wrong, wrong, wrong! This could be the largest worldwide demonstration against climate change ever -- will you be there?
