Halifax Fracking public meeting

5:30pm
- 6:00pm
Wednesday July 23 2014

Venue: Alumni Hall, King’s College
Address: 6350 Coburg Rd.

On July 23, citizens from Halifax and surrounding areas will gather at the Halifax Fracking Public Meeting to stand up against fracking development in Nova Scotia. A panel, hired by the NS government and headed by Dr. David Wheeler of Cape Breton University, will present their findings on the effect fracking would have on this province. Many are concerned that Dr. Wheeler will advise the NS government to end the current ban on fracking, and see this as chance to speak out regarding the dangers of shale gas exploration.  These public consultations have been occurring throughout the province and have been very heated; attendees will gather beforehand to hear speeches from local anti-fracking organizers.
