Sustainable Oceans Conference 2014

Venue: Life Sciences Centre (Room 236) & Dalhousie Ocean Sciences Building (Atrium), 1355 Oxford St.

Student oral and posters presentations with the following four themes will be explored: 1) Sustainability & Knowledge Systems, 2) Marine Governance, Policy & Law, 3) Communication Between/Among Stakeholders & Policy Makers, 4) Addressing Uncertainty in the Marine Environment

Interactive session featuring workshops on:

1) Exploring Knowledge through Language and Communication

2) Expressing Knowledge and Policy Concepts with a Visual Artist

This conference is made possible by the Sobey Fund for Oceans (SFO), a unique partnership between Dalhousie’s Marine Affairs Program and WWF Canada. The goal of this partnership is to inspire inventive multi-disciplinary approaches for creating healthy oceans and sustainable economics through scholarships, work placements and student-led events.
