She is also the author of nine books on politics and economics, including The Trouble With Billionaires, co-authored with Neil Brooks. Her lecture at Dalhousie, entitled Profit U: Who controls our universities…and why you should care, will deal with the growing dependence of Canada’s cash-strapped universities on corporate funding and how that is affecting academic freedom and the quality of education.  The lecture is part of the Dalhousie Faculty Association’s Issues in Higher Education discussion series. The event will take place in the Scotiabank Auditorium, Marion McCain Building, 6135 University Avenue. For more information, contact communications@dfa.ns.ca.
