- 7:00pm
Thursday February 20 2014

Venue: Maritime Museum of the Atlantic
Address: 1675 Lower Water Street

Celebrate African Heritage month with an evening of poetry, song and performance, featuring a special, intimate presentation by Robert Chafe, award-winning Canadian playwright of Oil and Water. Join us before the show where Robert will share what inspired him to write Oil and Water and bring Lanier Phillips’s incredible true story to the stage.

Other performances will include poetry pieces from two poets, Afua Cooper and Jacob Sampson. Admission to the event is free and a draw for tickets will be made to those who are in attendance.
