» More information

Planned as a traveling workshop intended to connect farmers in different areas of the provinces, reduce producer travel times and bring the resources of ACORN directly to its members, ACORN will host this day-long crop storage regional workshop in five Maritime cities.

As demand and interest in year-round availability of local, organic vegetables increases, producers have requested further information related to designing effective on-farm crop storage systems.

Crop storage can be costly and the construction and operation of an efficient and well-designed system is essential to a farm’s profitability in winter and early spring markets.

These workshops will include a combination of instruction, group discussion, hands-on activities, and individual work time.

Workshops will be open to fruit and vegetable growers, wholesalers, processors and distributors of all scales.

Lunch included.  Register below today!
