*PeacemakerHers* will explore and emphasize:
• The essential role of women in peacemaking and decision making
• The relevance of a feminist analysis in understanding peace and conflict
• Shifting the paradigm from fear, power & violence to cooperation, understanding & collaboration
• The importance of community, networking and capacity building
• Understanding peace & social justice in a global context

The goal of *PeaceMakeHers* is to build the capacity and leadership skills of young women in peace building. There will be opportunity for dialogue and creative processes to connect personal experience to the full spectrum of peace issues.

Selected applicants will be asked to volunteer with NS VOW over the coming year as well as help organize a women’s peace activity on their campus or in their community. NS VOW is a chapter of the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace

Attendance at the NS VOW camp is open to participants from all four Atlantic Provinces. All participants will be funded through scholarships, and spaces are limited.
