A Bioethics in the City Event presented by Novel Tech Ethics.
How should scholars think about their work: the pursuit of knowledge for its own sake, or advocacy for a cause or moral purpose? How should society think about academics: experts available for consultation on societal questions, or sages with something to say about what we should do or value? Three presentations will be given on the topic with lots of time for audience discussion.
