What can be done to improve public health care in Nova Scotia? How can we ensure timely access to quality care? What's the way forward on mental health, long-term care, and women's health? With all the challenges, how can things get better?
We talk about the problems in health care a lot. We debate whether health care should be public or private, and rarely talking about solutions. Not anymore.
On January 23rd, the Nova Scotia Citizen's Health Care Network will be hosting a town hall on positive public sector solutions in health care. Taking place in the community meeting space of the North End Community Health Centre, the speakers at the town hall will present a platform of public sector solutions to problems in health care. Hopefully, all the political parties in Nova Scotia will "steal" these ideas and run with them in the next election! After all, public health care is too important to become a partisan issue.
Light refreshments will be served.
