Really Really FREE Market

11:00am
- 3:00pm
Saturday December 15 2012

Venue: George Dixon Centre

No money. No barter. No trade. Try a new economic model: Sharing!

We are pulling up our stocking and raising good cheer for the 4th Halifax Really Really Free Market! Christmas is getting near and by this time most of our shopping budget is spent! Oh what to do?! Why not try giving the gift of Free Stuff?!

Wondering what the heck a 'really really free market' is?

Basically, its a bazaar, a celebration, and a community space for sharing- where people bring what they have to give, and take what they need. Kind of like a potluck, but for goods, services, skills, ideas, smiles..

You can drop stuff off, pick something up, or stick around and hang out! This can include items and services, such as:

- usable clothes, books, music, tools, appliances, toys, pet supplies
-homemade goods, such as crafts, art, zines, baked goods, seeds and plant starts
-services, such as haircuts, yoga lessons, massage, bike repairs, tattoos- whatever!

*NOTE: this is NOT a drop-off/donation center, and the event will not be sustainable in the future if organizers or the venue get stuck with loads of leftover stuff in the end. PLEASE come down and stay for as long as you want- hang out, make use of services, chat and meet people- and when your leaving, take with you anything you brought that no one else has claimed. This will help the RRFM become a regular thing, and you can bring your stuff back next time
