Learn the skills you need to know to organize in your campus community

  • Student loans getting you down?
  • Are you having troubles with your landlord? What about your employer?
  • Are you concerned about climate change?
  • Are you sick of racism, transphobia and sexism at school and work?

 

Have you ever said to yourself, "Somebody has to do something about that?

Good news: you're somebody and we want to show you how to act on things you care about. So come to the Student Action Day Camp! 

It will feature six skill-building workshops and a panel of local young people who've made a difference. Breakfast and lunch will be served, it's free and no prior experience with this stuff is needed!

  • Organizing to Win: How to win elections and maximize turnout at events
  • Talking to Strangers: How to engage people in public
  • Talking to Media: How to get your message out exactly as you mean it
  • Public Speaking: How to speak clearly in public and not be intimidated
  • Goals, Strategies and Tactics: How to plan for the long and short term
  • Anti-Oppression: Challenging racism, sexism, and other forms of personal and systemic discrimination
