The Globe and Mail reported today that Muriel Duckworth, 100-year-old peace activisit, founding member of the Nova Scotia Voice of Women, and first woman to run for the Nova Scotia legislature, is in palliative care near her cottage in Magog, Quebec. Duckworth celebrated her 100th birthday with 1,000 friend last October at the North St. Church in Halifax.
