From the Margins, Feb 14, 2016 episode - on some of the most precarious workers

This is an episode of From the Margins Radio, CHSR 97.9 Fredericton, formerly of CKDU 88.1 in Hali. The subject matter of the show is relevant to a national audience.

(1) Unpaid interns - interview with Andrew Meade, freelance media worker who is a member of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and Canadian Freelance Union. Meade talks about efforts to try and improve protections for unpaid interns and the broader issue of whether and in what context unpaid internships are justified, if at all.

(2) Organizing panhandlers and other street workers - Interview with Andrew Nellis, organizer with the Street Labourers of Windsor and formerly with the Ottawa Panhandlers Union. Nellis reflects on the unique features and challenges of organizing panhandlers, buskers, scrappers and other street workers and his wealth of experiences in these efforts.

(3) MC Liddz with a killer rhyme
